First, we have to classify your problem.  What does it mean to "classify" your problem?  We cannot diagnose the root cause of your problem until we can properly classify it into a treatment category.  So far, your problem has been classified into a "structural" problem that is seen on an X-Ray or an MRI.  Degenerative Joint Disease, Arthritis, and Bulging Discs are all common structural problem diagnoses.  However, we see these problems on people who don't have pain, so they CANNOT be the root cause of your problem.  

We use Treatment Categories to determine what Treatment you need to solve your problem.  These categories are:

1.  Joint Derangement- a joint is not working properly and that is why you are in pain

2. Soft Tissue Dysfunction- a muscle, ligament, tendon, or fascia is not moving, stretching or sliding properly and this is causing your pain

3. Neurodynamic Disorder- a nerve is not moving or sliding properly and this is causing your pain

Once your treatment category has been diagnosed, proper treatment directed specifically at fixing your root cause can be done and resolution can insue.  Here is something very important, you can have findings on MRIs and X-Rays contradict your treatment category and that means the MRI or X-Ray finding is NOT relevant!  This means that you have a structural finding, but it is NOT causing your pain!  Isn't that wild!  And yes, this is all backed up 100% by medical research.
