Our Treatment Based Classification System is how we figure out what is REALLY causing your pain. The 3 Categories are described below.
1. Joint Derangement- Joints hurt when they slightly shift out of position. Slightly means that you cannot see these on X-Rays or MRIs, but you can find them by doing proper Range of Motion testing.
2. Soft Tissue Dysfunction- When a muscle, ligament, tendon, or fascia become stuck together, known as an adhesion, pain is produced where the ahesion is. These are often called trigger points as well. They are found by manually palpating the injured tissue and it reproduces your pain.
3. Neurodynamic Disorder- Nerves have to slide and move as you move your body around. They can get stuck and cause pain, or they can cause pain with numbness and tingling. By using specific movements you can load the nerves specifically and determine if your pain is being caused by a stuck nerve.
As you can see, once you have been properly diagnosed into your Treatment Category, then we can apply the appropriate treatment to fix YOUR unique problem. This is how you can finally get the results you desire with treatment, where your problem finally goes away and stays away!
